A Zeropteryx (meaning "no wing") was a species of Skull Island Terror Birds, slightly smaller than the Brutornis that inhabited Skull Island until it sunk and killed off all of the island's wildlife. They are one of the heaviest of the island's flightless birds, standing as high as a man and possessing powerful legs for running, huge claws for kicking and disemboweling, and an enormous, razor-tipped spade-like beak. As with other terror birds, they are formidable predators, and considered anything moving as potential prey. The blade-like edge to their beaks were as lethal as a pickax to small animals that were unable to move quickly enough to escape its wrath.
