The wookiee (Wookiee kashyyykensis) is a fictional hominid originating from the Star Wars universe. Chewbacca (also known as Chewie) is probably the most well-known member of this species.
Biology[]
They are fur-covered mammals with dog-like noses, and a bipedal stance. They have an omnivorous diet, enabling them to eat meat and plants.
Culture[]
The most well known feature of their culture is their "life debt", meaning if one saves a wookiee's life, they're indebted to their savior.
Language[]
As advanced as they are, their vocal range is quite limited. And as such, they communicate via roaring.
Subspecies[]
There are two subspecies of Wookiee. The rwooks, which are more common, and the silverbacks.
