Warg is the term used to describe large, ferocious wolves in Norse mythology, the most famous of which being Fenrir.
They are perhaps most well-known as one of the many races that inhabit Middle-earth in J. R. R. Tolkien's 1937 fantasy novel The Hobbit and later writings. Like their legendary counterparts, these Wargs are often used for transportation as mounts.
