Vortigaunts are a species of aliens that settled in Xen from the Half-Life series. Their native world is unknown.
Biology[]
They are grey in color, are bipedal and have a hunched over posture. They have a carnivorous diet as well. Their most bizarre feature is the third arm in the middle of their chests.
History[]
They were once a carefree people until their homeworld was invaded by the Combine, a tyrannical terroristic organization bent on dimensional conquest. So, they were forced to evacuate to the dimension known as "Xen", where they were enslaved by a large creature known as Nihilanth, and lived under its rule, until it was killed by Black Mesa operative, Gordon Freeman. Since then, they've allied themselves with the humans and have been adjusting to their newfound independence.
