The Vincians (Homo vinci) are an extremely intelligent race from planet Vinci, of which "human" Italian artist/inventor, Leonardo da Vinci, was the dumbest member.
History[]
First contact with this species was made when Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth and Philip J. Fry crash-landed on Vinci. There they met Leonardo da Vinci, who revealed his alien nature to them. On Vinci, Leonardo was always bullied for his less than average intelligence (by Vincian standards) and thus left his planet and settled on Earth, where he became a renowned artist and inventor. Although he eventually returned home, because he couldn't stand being surrounded by people more stupid than him.
Culture and Society[]
They are known for amazing technology, and being great inventors. They also wear Renaissance style clothing. Their homeworld, Vinci, looks like Italy during the Renaissance period.
Biology[]
They are physically indistinguishable from humans, except they have an extremely long lifespan.
Notes[]
- Their planet shares its name with a town in Italy, Florence, the same city where Da Vinci actually lived during the Renaissance period.
- It would appear Universe A's Leonardo simply landed there when he arrived on Earth.
- Philip J. Fry had da Vinci confused with Leonardo DiCaprio.
