We are here to join the hands of the commander and the queen, this is very sacred for the way of the devil. And if we do not honor it correctly, it will cause bad luck in no good harvest for Uganda.

Do you know da wae?

—Commander Gaztons, VRChat

If you mess with us, we will spit on you! We will spit, and you will hate it. I tell you that. Long live the brothers.

The Ugandan echidna (Tachyglossus ugandiensis mobohabilis) (more commonly known as Ugandan Knuckles) is a tribal species of echidna that resembles their closer relative and famed individual Knuckles The Echidna, hence the name. They're known for their massive raids in VRChat, stereotypically African accent, tribal behaviour and corrosive Ebola-infected saliva. Their colors vary depending on race and rank.

Biology[]

Appearance[]

These echidnas resemble their taller, slender relative, but with a wider, half-disk shaped body with a smaller head and stubbier limbs. Their facial features include a chubbier muzzle, wide mouth, and small, derped eyes.

Their attire includes white, fingerless boxing gloves, with their signature pointed knuckles protruding with them. These echidnas wear shoes with green socks. The shoes have a red base with a yellow stripe, platform heels and studs on the top.

These echidnas have a complex heirachy, and have many different appearances depending on their role in the tribe.

Behavior[]

This type of echidna is tribal, meaning they have a complex hierarchy that they honor with dignity. Although they might be an immanently peaceful species, you don't want to get on one of their bad sides. A common thing the tribes tend to do using their infectious spit and complex weaponry against enemies and potential threats. This tactic is used to scare the possible threat away and away from their queen. After a successful protection of their tribe and the queen - the tribe does their classic clicking sound in joy.

Their most common weapon is spit and spears, but can rarely be from manmade weaponry like guns or bombs, and rarely tanks.

In one such case, a Ugandan echidna was seen wielding a gun, speaking fluent English, asking the question "Do you know da wae?", and shot down whoever had no knowledge of da wae.

The workers, soldiers, commanders and vice queen spend their time protecting the queen, they praise and treat her with the utmost respect and worship them as if she were a goddess. The choosing process for a queen is decided upon the tribe members. When they find the right person, they select them as their queen and the praising begins.

In the situation of a queen dying or stepping down from their role, the tribe simply sends out workers to find their new queen, so they can continue the cycle.

There is no permanent queen, because of the cycle. The Vice queen is an individual who takes the queen's place after her stepping down or dying.

Speech[]

This species is unlike species ever seen with the ability to speak and form complex tribes. Their speech is very lackluster, but considers a variety of normal words from English and Spanish, and quotes from the comedy film "Who Killed Captain Alex?". Fluence in these languages depend on the individual. Scientists speculate that these species learnt the languages off humans during the raids.

Sometimes, their instincts kick in and one individual starts a chain reaction, causing the entire tribe to either click, scream, spit or make random noises.

The way of the devil (Da Wae)[]

The species seems to praise and spread around the popular belief of "Da Wae". There is no precise description of da wae, as any individual avoids explaining in detail, the most they say is "Da wae of the devil". People have speculated whether this species of echidna is associated with the devil and cults following it. These echidnas are always on the search for da wae, asking different people on VRChat during their raids. Due to the choosing process of a queen, scientists speculate da wae is simply the name of the process of selecting a new queen.
