The Trufffula Tree is a species of flowering tree native to the Truffula forest. Discovered by the Once-ler and used to make his invention the Thneed, but as time went on all the truffula trees were chopped down. Destroying not only the forest but the ecosystem leading to the animals living in the forest and the Lorax abandoning it. In the Tv special The Once-ler gave a boy the last Truffula seed to have him plant it to grow a forest and protect it from axes that hack.

In the movie however, the seed was planted in the center of the city Thneedville. it grew into a red truffula tree sapling. In the end of film the Once-ler waters the new truffula saplings, In the credits of film, the truffula forest returned as well as the animals that once inhabited the truffula forest before the Once-ler discovered the forest.
