The Tirisfal Bear is a bear that inhabited the secluded Whispering Forest of Azeroth, believed to have been the first landing of the High Elves. This area lies high above both Tirisfal Glade and Silverpine Forest. Like other species in the area, the Tirisfal Bear is endemic to this region.
During life, they would have fed upon the local Tirisfal Deer. While Fey Darters exist in the area these often slip into the Emerald Dream and are far less likely to become meals for the giant bears.
Unfortunately, likely affected by the buried C'Thrax in the region, the bears became highly aggressive, and this may also explain their immense strength. They have also been affected by the Undead Plague, being transformed into plague bears. This likely indicates that they have been officially wiped out as a living species, though the undead bears still roam the area.
