The not deer is a cervid said to live in the Appalachian Mountain Range, mostly in the areas where it covers Tennessee.
Appearance[]
At first glance, a not deer looks exactly the same as a normal deer. But, as the observer looks at it for long enough or gets closer to it, it displays some odd characteristics. It's said that their movements are more akin to that of a baby deer despite being a fully grown adult. Their limbs are also said to be a little bit longer than those of a normal deer or that its legs are double or more jointed. Their chest is reported as being very barrel-like. Its way of movement is also described to be more aggressive than normal deer. The most defining characteristic of the not deer is its eyes, which are said to be akin to predatory animals. It has even been reported with multiple eyes. More uncommonly, it is said to have a bovine head.
Behavior[]
Not deer are reported to have no fear of humans. People who encounter these creatures report an uneasy feeling that there's an intelligence and emotion which enhances the feeling of something being off. Not deer will usually approach humans and this is what caused the reports of odd movements. Despite the encounters people had with this creature that made them feel off, not deer only attack if provoked. Some accounts of these attacks mention that running up a tree didn't help as these creatures can somehow climb up trees despite having hooves and not claws. A not deer may occasionally walk on it hind legs, like some animals, to intimidate or try to reach individuals who are chased up trees.
