The Noivern is a fictional large woolly black-and-purple bat, and the evolved form of Noibat, that originated from the Pokémon universe.

Biology[]

Contrary to their appearance, and being mammals, Noivern are Dragon types.

Life Cycle[]

Noivern starts out life in the form of Noibat. Noibat appears as a small, light purple bat with yellow eyes, black triangular markings on the inner corner of each eye, three spiky hair tufts on each cheek, two dark purple teardrop-shaped markings on the front of its face, a black lower jaw, and two more spiky hair tufts on the upper lip of this Pokémon. Its large ears have a similar appearance to loudspeakers, they're dark purple on the outside with rings of light and dark purple that fades to black on the inside. Its chest and hips are covered in fluffy black fur. Small, black, two fingered hands appear in the top middle part of its wings, and it has two long toes on each foot. Noibat live in pitch black caves. They sleep in the caves during the day and leave during the night, just like normal bats. They are able to send ultrasonic waves from their ears that can go up to 200,000 Hz. They use these waves to stun large creatures, communicate with each other, and stall prey. They also like fruit and will use their sonar to detect the ripeness of the fruit. Noibat are capable of producing sounds of any wavelength.

When fully matured, Noivern stands the same height as a Modern-Day Human.
