The Neanderthals are an extinct human species native to Eurasia. They interbred with the closely related Homo sapiens, and all modern humans not of Sub-Saharan African descent have Neanderthal DNA.

They were more robust than Homo sapiens, had a slanted forehead, and their brow ridges more noticeably protuded.
