Muckfish are a species of Pacific salmon which are endemic to the subterranean waterways within the Orden Mines beneath the town of Torchlight, located within the Estherian Steppes on the continent of Vilderan. Like the Reekfish of Hyrule, the Muckfish likely have descended from Sockeye Salmon.
Close proximity to such vast quantities of ember has imbued the species with transformative magical powers, and allow animals such as Dogs and Wild Cats to be temporarily transformed into a Goblinhound.
Although their relatives transform into the hooked face appearance over time during their one and only mating session, it appears that Muckfish retain this appearance throughout at least most of their lives. This form resembles the mating form of their close cousins, the Sockeye Salmon, possessing reddened and green skin.
