The Lumpi was a race of sapients whom considered themselves nightmare creators. One of their own, known only as the Jolly Lumpus, destroyed the rest of their species in order to become the top nightmare creator in their world. With the deaths of all other Lumpi, their species is now considered extinct in the wild.
Physiology[]
Lumpi are bipeds with grayish-green skin and a strange, elongated skull that serves an unknown purpose. They see using compound eyes and manipulate the world around them using hands with four armored phalanges that all close upon the palm.

Behind the scenes[]
- The Jolly Lumpus was created by an unknown Maxis employee and displayed on the pre-release website for Spore. It cannot be found in the official release, and in fact the parts it uses are earlier versions of released parts. The hands are thinner versions of the Dexterrorous hands, while the eyes (Eyelien style eyes) have compound eye-like "speckles" not seen in-game.
Trivia[]
- Having been created by Maxis during the pre-release stage, they cannot be found in a player's game of Spore unless recreated by a SporeBuddy.
- As with all other lifeforms in Spore, Lumpi would have reproduced by laying eggs.
- In game, The Jolly Lumpus (and thus presumably the rest of the Lumpus species) possess two beta eyelien eyes (providing the Sight stat), a grinnace mouth (provides mating call, omnivore diet, Bite level 2, Sing level 2), a pair of the geckonator feet (providing a Speed level of 1, as well as Jump level 1, and Dance level 1), and two beta dexterrorous hands (providing the Graspers stat, as well as Strike level 4 and Pose level 4).
