Doogs are a species of extremely loyal and naïve "dog-lizards". Considered by many to be dull-witted, with a total lack of the necessary intelligence to understand that they would never buy back their own freedom after being financially enslaved by the Ploxis via the K'tang Kaktorri. They are known to have 6 colony worlds by the time of the Captain's arrival in the Kessari Quadrant: Adapa I, Cerberus II, Chloris I, Izanami II, Melpomene IV, Proserpina I.

- While it is not known which of their colonies is their actual home world, it can be assumed that it is Cerberus 2, simply considering the pun that dogs from a place called Cerberus puts out.
