A Darksnail is what remains of a Snail after it has been severely infected by the Ruin left by the Dollmaker's Infernal Train as it passed overhead above the Vale of Tears, transmogrifying it into the dreaded Vale of Doom. During their transformation their shells have become spiked and they have begun to resort to subsisting on their own bile.
Trivia[]
- The Darksnail was intended to appear in Alice: Madness Returns, but was cut as a character before the final release. They do, however, still show up in the Vale of Doom's background.
- Although Alice refers to them as "cephalopods" in Alice: Madness Returns' extra content, they are very obviously gastropods.
