"As the ponies decorated a field for their summer party, they came upon a huge boulder too big for any of them to move. "It's too heavy," said Merriweather as she and her friends pushed against the big rock. Just then, Cutesaurus joined her friends. "I'm strong enough to move it," she said, easily rolling the rock out of the field. To thank their friend, the ponies made Cutesaurus the guest of honor at the party!"

Cutesaurus (Cutesaurus oskilida) is a conjectural name for a species known by only one individual, the aforementioned Cutesaurus, who once was known to reside in the region of Ponyland and serves as the species' holotype.

Physiology[]

Cutesauruses are short sauropods that appear to be closely related to Brontosauruses. They hold their necks upright and have a long shock of chartreuse hair flowing out from their heads. Their tails have become shortened and are generally held in an position slightly over their backs. They have a strong skeleton and musculature, as they are able to push over huge rocks with ease.

Etymology[]

The Cutesaurus' specific name, "oskilida" stems from the Greek word "kilída", meaning "bone"; combined with the Latin word "kilída", meaning "blot, stain, blur, blemish, or patch". This means that their specific name translates to "Bone blot", in reference to its cutie marks.
