The Creature of Metepec is a strange animal found by a Mexican farmer in a trap. The farmer stated that the Creature was still alive and very aggressive when he found it. The UFO-Journalist Jaime Maussan bought the dead body of the Creature from the farmer, because he thought it was an alien. It's unknown what it actually is.
Later the creature was revealed a hoax as taxidermist Urso Moreno Ruiz confessed to making it from a Buffy Tufted Marmoset corpse.
Biology[]
The Creature of Metepec is rather small, about the size of a small cat or large rabbit. It has smooth whitish-grey skin with a large head for its size. The Creature appears to be quadrupedal, with dexterous front paws and a long tail. It had two forward-facing eyes, giving it stereoscopic vision and likely indicating that it had predatory habits. Its head resembles that of the well-known Grey aliens, possibly suggesting a connection. If it was indeed an alien, the Creature had similar respiratory needs to life on Earth as it was able to survive breathing the planet's atmosphere. It is unknown what the creature fed on. The Creature is not stated to have displayed any signs of sapience. Doris Lessing concludes that it is most definatley just a monkey with bad skin problem.
Homeworld[]
The home planet of the Creature of Metepec is unknown, but we can guess from its physical characteristics what is homeworld may be like. As the Creature was able to breathe comfortably on Earth it is likely that the planet had a very similar atmospheric composition. Its physical resemblance to the Greys hints at a common ancestry (perhaps like that between monkeys and humans), and also perhaps a method for it to be on Earth in the first place.
