The cow plant (Lagnaphyllis simnovorii) is a fictional carnivorous plant that originated from the The Sims universe.
Biology[]
It is a large carnivorous plant with the head of a cow (but no eyes), including horns, an udder (on its chin), and also has a green stem and a cow tail. Their wide mouths, horns, side-leaves, and sharp teeth make them vaguely resemble a dragon. They also wear cowbells on their necks. The plant strangely has a skull, as shown by dead cow plants. Another feature they have is a cake-shaped tongue which they use to lure in prey, specifically humanoids called "Sims". Any Sim that falls for their trick is prompted eaten, then either vomited up or digested, to which then a grave appears to mark the spot where they died. Their udder then fills up with milk, made from the digested remains of their victim, which adds years to the drinker's life.
Notes[]
- The genus name means "Cake foliage" while the species name means "Sim eater".
