Gnathostomata

Gnathostomata, also known as jawed vertebrates are animals that have developed opposing jaws with which to consume nutrients with. In addition to opposing jaws, living gnathostomes have teeth, paired appendages, and a horizontal semicircular canal of the inner ears.

In real life, it comprises 99% of all living vertebrates — roughly 60,000 species.
