Carroboscises are a species of ghoul carrot endemic to Booster Pass, an area in the outskirts of Mushroom Kingdom. They are very closely related to the Radishes.
Physiology[]
Despite being tough opponents and with a physical form that would appear otherwise juicy, their bodies can be crushed under foot and is highly susceptible to fire.
They are capable of magical capabilities and this is likely how they keep themselves hovering in the air. They also can summon magical bells to help attack their foes through the utilization of musical spells such as Doom Reverb, Spore Chimes, and S'crow Bell, all of which cause status ailments — silence, mushroom, and scarecrow, respectively.
Behavior[]
They are seemingly very territorial towards their own kind and are never known to be seen in one another's presence. Instead they have formed a symbiotic relationship with the local Spikesters and a few other species and will fight for their cause. However they are only aggressive when among these other species and do not attack adventurers on their own. They attack physically by leaping into the air and flashing their green eyes, which somehow causes injury to their foes.
Etymology[]
Their name is a portmanteau of carrot and proboscis, likely referring to their long pointed noses.
