The Brockway goat (Capra ibex brockis) is a fictional subspecies of Alpine ibex originating from BattleTech.

When mankind first started settling alien worlds, they relied on hardy animals from old Terra to provide food when native fauna was unable to sustain their needs. The goat was one such animal. When goats were introduced to Brockway, they grew larger, stronger and incredibly prolific over the centuries and became a new speices: the Brockway Goat. In addittion to being bred for milk, meat and hides, their hair is a useful textile. But, the over a meter long horns are what makes an impression on those first seeing a Brockway goat.
