The Bas are a species of bipedal sapient toads indigenous to the planet Bas, which was at some point annexed by King Kold's family. They are omnivorous, pudgy, four-eyed psychics with little stamina but sufficient telekinetic powers.
Physiology[]
In comparison to most other sapient races, Bas are squat, diminutive creatures. They have four eyes, two large primary eyes on the sides of their head and two smaller eyes in the front. Some mutants have adapted a fifth eye for unknown reasons, although it may have to due with potent "third eye" abilities, given their natural psychic capabilities. It can be assumed that the larger eyes are, evolutionarily speaking, used to keep an eye out for their predators while the forward-facing eyes provide binocular vision for hunting. Their skin colors may range from green to blue, though golden and even pink are not unheard of. Guldo was known to have bad breath, and this may or may not be regular for their species, though it may just be due to personal halitosis.
Notably, they were unable to wear scouters for some time due to the awkward structure of their head.
Abilities[]
Although the techniques might only belong to the mutant Guldo, it seems as if all Bas possess some level of psychic powers. Known techniques include the ability to freeze time for everyone beside themselves (and maybe other Bas), so long as their breath is held. They are also known for telekinetic abilities, able to paralyze opponents in the air and use further telekinetics to launch projectiles at their suspended targets.
Background history[]
When their planet was annexed by Prince Frieza of the Arcosians, they became full-fledged members of the Planet Trade Organization, and the powerful mutant Guldo was entered into the Ginyu Force, Frieza's Elite. Even after Guldo and Frieza's deaths, the Bas would remain members of the PTO. However at some point several members would leave the remnants of the PTO to join the Time Breakers, intending to decimate time itself. They are not known to have joined any other affiliation.
