Arie is a female California Sea lion at Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, Illinois.
Arie was originally a wild animal that was found in a very malnourished poor condition when she was rescued off the beach and was rehabilitated but was deemed non-releasable by the U.S. government and was placed at Brookfield Zoo as her permanent home.
On June 11, 2017, she gave birth to a male pup.
