Biology[]
They are typically presented as humanoids with large white bird-like wings on their backs. Sometimes with a ring floating above their heads, referred to as a "halo". Though they may take on more alien appearances depending on rank.
Cherubim[]
When you hear the word "Cherub", you typically think of winged babies, don't you? However, this is incorrect, as this description is actually that of Putto. Real Cherubim are four-winged humanoids with cow hooves as feet, and four heads: one human, one ox, one lion and one eagle. And have absolutely nothing to do with Cupid or Valentine's Day. This rank may also have eyeballs on their wings.
Ophanim[]
This rank, or breed shall we say? Has the appearance of a golden chariot wheel with human eyeballs lining the rim. They may or may not intersect.
Seraphim[]
Perhaps the most alien of all ranks is the Seraphim. Their exact appearance is unknown, as they have six wings, two to hide their faces, two to hide their bodies (except their legs), and two for actual flight. Though depending on the translation, they seem to be either balls of fire, or draconic creatures.
