Status Least Concern

Aeronites (Aeronitus margarita) are a species of air drakomon endemic to the realm of Dragonia. They have an affinity for air and this allows them to buffet potential threats.

Physiology[]

Aerogon

A juvenile Aeronite is referred to as an Aerogon.

When still young, Aeronites are known as Aerogons. These tiny dragon whelps have an almost pony-like appearance but are still capable of fighting off predators and rivals. Even at this young age they are able to harness the power of wind to buffet their targets.

The species' body is primarily white with lavender feet and facial markings. Their wings appear to be built out of greatly enlarged scales. They have bulbous horns that are more likely for display than attack as they thin closer to their connection to the skull, making them ill-built for goring foes. They have a mainly white crest on their head with the protofeather-like hairs ending in reddish coloration. As they mature, their necks and snouts grow longer and they grow long barbels extending off of their face. The crest extends more along their head and becomes erect. A scaly in also extends out of the nape of their neck at the base of the skull. The tail grows spines that give it an almost airplane-like appearance.
