Would converting to a more typical template design with that blue bar rather than using more more unique template coding fix this, perhaps?
I actually have the comic where the Scraplets first appear! I also was the one that created the page for the Quintessons over on ASW.
Nope, they're definitely different species, albeit similar (and as I recall that's because Might & Magic stole the Warcraft design, just like how Warcraft stole their Orcs from Warhammer Fantasy Battles). I've always tried to indicate that on this wiki, every physical variation of a creature is supposed to be treated as different species, especially from different planets unless it makes sense for them to potentially be lumped together. But when it comes to the different Might & Magic series and Warcraft franchises, they are actually expressly given very different evolutionary origins on different planets (Might & Magic specifically has occurred on numerous planets) so they cannot in any way be the same species even if we consider all media universes as existing together. It could perhaps be argued that they were if the two sources didn't come up with their own origins but if that had been the case, while they're both hyena-based, Warcraft Gnolls are a different physiology with a more hunched-over body.
As per the guidelines page:
"What classifies a new species?
As far as All Species Wiki is concerned, any differing designs should be considered their own thing. Even if a species is intended by the original creators to be the same as a regular creature but do not share the same traits as the actual being it should be considered to be a separate entity. Although sometimes it may simply be due to artistic choice, if an organism has different traits including different colorations, size discrepancies (especially significant ones), or abilities or magic powers that the real life species does not have, as well as of course an alternate design, they ought to be considered a new species. It should be noted that All Species Wiki also allows for cut content designs from things like video games to be classified as their own species, even though they're likely not canon to their universe. The design should still be considered viable as an organism."
The information on the Gremlins should be moved over to the Mogwai page but Gremlins themselves are a separate mythological being. If it were a page entitled, "Gremlins (Gremlins)" and not just the generalized "Gremlins", I would say yes but since it has no parentheses involved it is a page for the general existence of Gremlins and should actually be about the mythological creatures from World War II. A merging of what should be a mythological page and a media fiction page would be overall harmful.
That being said, the main Gremlins article should mention Gremlins from the Gremlins franchise and link to the Mogwai page. I think the best bet would probably be to make a redirect for people looking for Gremlins Gremlins that will lead directly back to Mogwai. And again, Mogwai are also a mythological creature (specifically, a demon) from Chinese mythology so they should really be on a page entitled "Mogwai (Gremlins)".
Who's the founder of this wiki? Is it me? Is it you? You always act like you're the one in charge here. That counts as a differing species -- the physiology alone makes it a different species. Cut content of existing creatures count as different species too. I thought this was pretty well explained. You don't get to tell me when a case is closed or not on my own wiki, SIR. -I- am in charge here. Not you.
*heavy sigh*
....damnit, dude. A stylized version means it's a different species, man, unless its exactly like a regular species. But Minecraft Silverfish are FAR larger than actual silverfish and have VERY different attributes from actual silverfish. Bro, I know you think you're helping, but this is the exact opposite of what the wiki is for. Jeezus.
Could have sworn I replied to this... Weird. Anyway, yes, absolutely!
I almost forgot about them. That binominal classification makes sense to me.
They're Alternate Mutants from Marvel, right? I've never personally watched it or read that particular line of comics. But yes, absolutely we should make a page on them!
Errr....wait, I'm sorry, what? I'm not sure what you mean.
I only just found out about that myself, always thought he was a straight-up human. Yeah, we can add it for sure. Heck, we have the Kwijybo XD
B is for Banffia constricta, an extinct species of vetulicolian. Their bodies twisted in a spiral, possibly to aid in burrowing!
Nice one! Do you want me to continue where you left off or go off my own memory, also starting at A?
